Yael Stone, a native of Australia and living in New York City in 2013, portrayed Lorna Mello as the prisoner in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a degree from NIDA. Yael despite her youthful age, has been given the chance to study with the most famous storytellers in Australia. Yael enjoys a rich career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was thrilled to discover her new residence when Brooklyn Academy of Music, which was the venue where the production premiered to high praise, was the place she now calls New York City. Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery supports innovative ideas in writing and also creative projects in it's Bushwick studio.
